Michael E. J. Merod has joined the law firm of Ingerman & Horwitz, L.L.P. His practice areas will include automobile torts and personal injury claims. He is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and the Baltimore City Bar Association.

Prior to joining Ingerman & Horwitz, Mr. Merod interned for the well-respected Chief Judge John N. Prevas of the Baltimore City Circuit Court as well as for the Baltimore Hearings Unit of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. He also practiced as a student attorney with the University of Baltimore’s Civil Advocacy Clinic where he provided pro bono legal services to low income clientele.
Mr. Merod received his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, and he received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law. While in law school, he received one of the top awards at the National Tax Law Moot Court Competition. He was also recognized for his outstanding advocacy skills. Mr. Merod was a staff editor of the University’s Intellectual Law Property Journal and a member of the Stephen L. Snyder Litigation Fellows.
Mr. Merod was born in New York, NY and raised in Raleigh, NC. He moved to Baltimore in 2007 and currently resides in the Mount Vernon district. Mr. Merod has played the cello for 20 years and was a member of the North Carolina All State Orchestra.
