About Us

Formed in 1990 by attorneys Alan G. Horwitz and Bruce E. Ingerman, during a time when many law firms were shrinking in size, Ingerman & Horwitz, LLP has grown steadily from a staff of 5 to over 50 focusing on the needs of clients injured on the job or through the negligence of others.

The attorneys and staff of Ingerman & Horwitz, LLP are recognized throughout Maryland for their commitment to justice and dedication to excellence, resulting in numerous client referrals and the respect of their peers. In addition, our attorneys are frequently asked to lecture on their groundbreaking work in personal injury and workers’ compensation.

We believe that the best results in personal injury cases are achieved by attorneys who are ready, willing and able to take the defendants and insurance companies to court and aggressively pursue their clients’ cases. Our attorneys have the skill, drive and technical ability to handle the needs of our clients and have tried thousands of cases throughout the state of Maryland. In the process, we have earned the respect of the insurance industry and opposing lawyers.

Ingerman & Horwitz, LLP is a full-service personal injury Baltimore, Maryland firm with over 100 years of collective experience focusing on:

Truck-Tractor-Trailer Accidents • Workers’ Compensation Auto AccidentsMotorcycle
Accidents
Personal Injury/Wrongful DeathSocial Security DisabilityProduct Liability
Medical MalpracticeCriminal Law

A dedicated staff of over 20 professionals(including attorneys, supervisory personnel, paralegals and administrative assistants) deals only with workers’ compensation cases. We were recently recognized for our success in a seminal case that forever changed Maryland workers’ compensation law by altering the definition of an “accident”. This new definition has substantially increased the eligibility for workers’ compensation coverage and has opened the door for countless claimants, whose rights to benefits were previously denied.

In order to effectively and successfully pursue a personal injury claim, substantial resources must be committed for such things as depositions, expert witness fees and investigations. Once we take a case, we use our strong financial resources to pay the increasingly high costs of trying a case in court today. This is extremely important because insurance companies have unlimited resources and financial strength to attempt to defeat your case. With Ingerman & Horwitz, LLP, you will never be intimidated or defeated by a lack of funds. There is NEVER an expense or fee unless we recover a settlement or verdict for our clients.
